Canadian Woodworking Magazine - Get one free issue with no obligation to subscribe. Features tips, plans, tool reviews and more. Articles focus exclusively on the subject of woodworking from intarsia to dust collection.

Family Handyman - Free trial issue. Jam packed with home improvement and woodworking articles. Topics include Handy Hints, You Can Fix It, Great Goofs, Workshop Tips and Ask Handyman. They also offer signups for free product information.

Modern Woodworking - Free subscription. Tailed towards professional woodworking shops with articles mainly about products and companies.

Popular Woodworking - Try a free issue and then get one year free. Includes “Woodworking Essentials” by Nick Engler, an ongoing series dealing wit table saw use, all about routers, joinery, and more! Also Technique articles from professional woodworkers including Bill Hylton, Lonnie Bird, Don McConnell, Glen Huey and Troy Sexton.

Woodcraft Magazine - Free trial issue from the Woodcraft woodworking supplies folks. Published seven times a year, each issue contains articles about woodworking projects, people, and products.

Woodezine - Free online woodworking magazine with how-to and shop articles, tools, equipment, and supplies and other stuff related to woodworking. Searchable archive!

Woodsmith - Free trial issue. A personal favorite, Woodsmith magazine is 100% about woodworking projects, with detailed instructions, materials lists, and detailed drawings. (And no annoying ads getting in the way).

Woodworker's Journal - Sign up to receive Woodworker's Journal and they will send you the annual Resource Digest for free. The mag features detailed shop drawings, tool reviews and techniques from world-class experts.

Woodworking Magazine - Free sample article. A detailed PDF version with all the detail found in the printed publication. This is a fairly new woodworking magazine but it looks promising...
